Workforce Adequacy Guidelines for Load Despatch Centres

Load dispatch centres are regarded as key entities responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of the power system, and they will play a vital role in supporting the energy transition. However, for any organization to function effectively, human capital is its most valuable asset. The availability of skilled human resources directly impacts the performance and efficiency of the organization. The guidelines established by the Ministry of power will serve as a benchmark to enhance the load dispatch centres by ensuring they are staffed with adequately skilled personnel.

Report on Assessment of Inertia in Indian Power System

The study conducted by POSOCO in collaboration with IIT Bombay has reviewed the global best practices in respect of estimation, measurement and monitoring of power system inertia and evolved a methodology for the same in the context of Indian Power System. While identifying steps needed to strengthen the existing inertia monitoring platform implemented at NLDC and RLDCs, the report provides several suggestions for consideration at the policy, regulatory and operation level to achieve the targets of 500 GW by 2030 and net zero by 2070.

Report on Grid Disturbance on 30th and 31st July, 2012

This report was a result of CERC's direction to investigate into the incidences of grid failure on 30th July 2012 and 31st July 2012. The report covers preliminary analysis of the grid disturbance and presents an account of sequence of the events and restoration process.
