The CEA has issued Technical Standards for Connectivity to the Grid regulations dated 21st February 2007. The primary purpose of these regulations is to ensure safe operation, integrity and reliability of the grid.

SRS for every connection point shall b prepared by the owner of the sub-station where connection is taking place.

It includes standards for busbar protection, Local breakr back-up protection, distance protection schemes, all circuit breakers and other fault interrupting devices norms, norms for sub-station auxiliaries, etc..
