CEA Safety and Supply Regulations
The CEA has issued Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply regulations dated 20th September 2010. The primary purpose of these regulations is to specify safety measures for construction, operation and maintenance of power stations, sub-stations, transmission and distribution lines.

2. The Electrical Safety Officer shall be an Electrical Engineering degree holder with at least ten years of experience in operation and maintenance of electricity plants or an Electrical Engineering Diploma holder with at least fifteen years of experience in operation and maintenance of electric plant.

2. Owner of every transmission or distribution system shall arrange for training of their personnel engaged in the operation and maintenance of transmission and distribution system in his own institute or any other institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government

2. No cutting of soil within ten meters _from the tower structure of 132 kV and above voltage level shall be permitted
3. No person shall construct brick kiln or other polluting units near the installations or transmission lines of 220 kV and above within a distance of 500 metres

2. The Electrical Safety Officer, shall carry out periodic tests for ensuring observance of safety measures at intervals not exceeding one year
3. For every electrical installation including factory, mines and oil fields, where more than 250 kW of electrical load is connected the owner or the management of the installation, shall designate Electrical Safety Officer.

1. All electric vehicle charging stations shall be provided with protection against the overload of input supply and output supply fittings
2. A vehicle connector used for Direct Current (D.C.) charging shall be locked on a vehicle inlet if the voltage is higher than 60 V D.C. and the vehicle connector shall not be unlocked (if the locking mechanism is engaged) when hazardous voltage is detected through charging process
